Entropy

A subtle notion, barely a thought; A steady drift, dissolving all familiar order; slowly cascading into equilibrium; Every effort leaving us further apart irreversibly; Until all motion is in vain and ceases; Somewhere between micro and macro; We strive to prevail self-inflicted chaos; A pulsating beat and everything in between; Reveling in a moment void of entropy

Entropy

A term used in thermodynamic systems, but also chemistry and cosmology and more than just a good metaphor for what seems to happen to us humans very slowly but steadily.

As we move through this sonic landscape, every effort to connect brings us further apart, until all motion ceases, leaving behind a space where time stands still. It is in this stillness - somewhere between the microscopic and the vast - that we find ourselves.

We explore the tension between creation and dissolution, striving against the self-inflicted disorder of our surroundings, only to discover a pulsating beat at the heart of it all. Within this beat, everything converges—energy, time, and existence—revealing a fleeting moment where entropy pauses, and we are left reveling in a delicate harmony.

This performance is not merely an attempt to resist entropy, but rather an exploration of the beauty that emerges when we embrace it. In this moment, the familiar dissolves, and we find ourselves in a space where chaos and order momentarily hold their breath, allowing us to reflect on the fragile balance that underlies all motion.

TEMKO's Entropy blends rock elements with contemporary classical textures. The bass guitar and electric guitar would provide both harmonic foundation and melodic lines, while the drums and marimba offer rhythmic complexity and tonal color. Synths add ambient layers, enhancing the atmospheric quality of the music. The trio uses minimalist patterns, creating a balance between tight interplay and moments of dissonance or unpredictability, aligning with the concept of entropy—gradual disorder and structural shifts within the soundscape.
